The Joy of Mankind (A poem by Jose Angelo Lorenzo Saniel Gomos and his tribute to his personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ)

The Joy of Mankind

God in flesh, and God in bone,
Manifested through Christ alone.
To offer His life for mankind’s sin,
All glory is His, the angels sing.

Through a virgin, He was born,
On a manger He was placed.
The star of David shined above,
Bringing good tidings of joy, of peace, and love.

The shepherds’ went and so they saw,
The King of Heaven as an innocent child.
With face so pure and features so mild,
Even the Wise Men from the east brought gifts with their horses they ride.

Mankind should rejoice for their Savior has come.
The plan of God has finally begun.
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.
With Him,  Mankind’s sins shall cease to exist.

‘Tis the season to come to repentance and remembrance,
For our Lord and Savior’s purpose in this world.
Two thousand years ago,  He came,
Bringing salvation, the joy of mankind.
